The league calendar says:

5/2/24 - 5/18/24: Trading is Open
5/19/24 - 5/25/24: Roster Cut-Down and Player Contracting Week
6/3/24 - 6/7/24: Rookie Draft
6/24/24 - 7/12/24: Free Agent Draft
7/21/24 - 8/23/24: Trading Open

My question is - is trading open at all between the end of Roster cutdown week an during the Rookie/Free agent draft? I seem to remember trades happening during that time.

I've always tried to keep trading open as much as possible except during weeks where there is a lot of administrative/roster work to be done by the commissioner. So, yes, trading is closed between the start of Roster Cut-Down/Player Contracting Week and the start of the Rookie Draft. Once the Rookie Draft begins, trading reopens until the end of the free agent draft. Then after the free agent draft, trading is closed for one week so teams can confirm rosters. Trading then reopens, and but for a few days before the season begins when coach's files are due, remains open until week 8 of the regular season.

And my memory/understanding is trades should be posted the night before the round takes place, if the trade includes that day.

Correct as per rule 7.4.
